After nearly eight years of dancing with hundreds of celebrities gracing the ballroom floor and 14 Mirrorball Trophy winners, ‘Dancing With The Stars’ has finally crowned its champion of champions.
Last night on the all-female finale of ‘Dancing With The Stars’–the first the show has ever had–Kelly Monaco, Melissa Rycroft and Shawn Johnson performed two dances in hopes to win America’s votes and take home the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
Every time there’s a double elimination on Dancing With the Stars fans are left shocked, but this week’s double-whammy was historic.
The dancers were not only asked to do another fusion performance this week, but to do the dance to a very specific theme ranging from ‘Knight Rider’ to the Big Top circus forcing most of the contestants to say “huh?”
Though Kirstie Alley, who earned the lowest score out of the remaining eight dancers, was sent home it was the second All-Star’s elimination that came as a real shock.
The All-Stars have upped the ante in hopes to avoid the looming double elimination that faces them this week.
The “Dancing With The Stars” pro is in talks with the producers and development executives.
