OneMain Financial and 101.9 FM-WLIF High School Unsung Hero of the Month Contest Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR CREDIT APPLICATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR CREDIT APPLICATION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

The OneMain Financial and 101.9 FM-WLIF Unsung Hero of the Month Contest (the “Contest”) begins on December 30, 2013 and ends on May 19, 2014 (“Contest Period”). The Contest Period will be divided into 5 monthly entry periods (each, a “Monthly Entry Period”) as detailed below:

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to students who are currently enrolled in high school in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania or Virginia, and participate in a school athletic program (“Nominees”). A Nominee is only eligible to win the Contest once per calendar school year. Employees of OneMain Financial, Inc. and 101.9 FM-WLIF (“Sponsors”) and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion and advertising agencies, and members of their immediate families (spouse and parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, of such employees, are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

HOW TO ENTER: During the Contest Period, visit a participating OneMain Financial branch and complete the entry form provided and submit it in the ballot box to receive one (1) entry. Entries will be accepted at participating OneMain Financial branches during normal business hours. All entries must be received by close of business on by the dates indicated in the chart above to be eligible for the applicable Monthly Entry Period.

Limit one (1) entry per person per Monthly Entry Period. Entries received from any person in excess of the above-stated monthly limitation will be void. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsors and will not be returned.

JUDGING: On or about the dates indicated in the chart above, all eligible entries received during the Monthly Entry Period will be judged by a qualified panel of judges selected by OneMain Financial. Entries will be judged by OneMain Financial on the basis of the Nominee’s commitment to team, team spirit, and sportsmanship on and off the field. The judges will be qualified to apply the above standards to the Nominees in determining the winners. The decisions of the judges with respect to the selection of the winners, and in regard to all matters relating to this Contest, shall be final. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the applicable Monthly Entry Period.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be notified by OneMain Financial by mail, phone, and/or e-mail and must execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within five (5) calendar days of date of issuance. If the winner is a minor, their parent or guardian will be required to execute the above-referenced documents. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Sponsors are unable to contact potential winner or potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsors’ discretion, an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries. The Entrant will also be notified by OneMain Financial by mail, phone, and/or e-mail and requested to provide contact information for the potential winner.

PRIZE (5): The winner’s name for each Monthly Entry Period will be announced between 7:00 am and 9:00 am ET on the dates indicated in the chart above. In addition, each winner will receive a trophy with an Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of fifty dollars ($50.00). Total ARV of all prizes: $50.00.

PRIZE CONDITIONS: All applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Released Parties (as defined below) disclaim all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any prize accepted by the winner. The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsors. No substitution, assignment, transfer, or cash equivalent of prize is permitted, except by Sponsors, who reserves the right to substitute prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. All prize details are at Sponsors’ sole discretion.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating, each individual submitting an entry (“Entrant”) and Nominee agrees: (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of Sponsors, which shall be final and binding in all respects relating to this Contest; (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsors and its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the foregoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from Entrant’s participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize; and (c) to the use of his/her name, voice, performance, photograph, caption, entry, and/or likeness for programming, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by Sponsors and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from Entrant or Nominee or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use. By participating, Entrant and Nominee also agree not to release any publicity or other materials on his/her own or through someone else regarding his/her participation in the Contest without the prior consent of the Sponsors, which it may withhold in its sole discretion.

MISCELLANEOUS: Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, damaged, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, or garbled entries, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes, or in any Contest-related materials. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Contest, who act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsors, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Should any portion of the Contest be, in Sponsors’ sole opinion, compromised for any reason, including non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsors, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsors reserve the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest (or portion thereof) and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winner(s) for the drawing(s) at issue in a random drawing from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received for the applicable drawing(s) at issue prior to action taken. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK ANY AND ALL REMEDIES AVAILABLE FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

ARBITRATION: Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this Contest, Entrant and Nominee agree that (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or the prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by final and binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association and held at the AAA regional office nearest the entrant (2) the Federal Arbitration Act shall govern the interpretation, enforcement and all proceedings at such arbitration; and (3) judgment upon such arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. Under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and Entrant and Nominee hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys’ fees, other than Entrant and Nominee’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with participating in this Contest), and entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.

CHOICE OF LAW: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Entrants, Nominees, and Sponsors in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of New York, USA.

WLIF/ OneMain Financial ATHLETE OF THE WEEK OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR CREDIT APPLICATION OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR CREDIT APPLICATION SUBMISSION OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE ENTRANT’S CHANCE OF WINNING.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. These rules govern the Athlete of the Week promotion (the “Promotion”), which is being conducted by WLIF (the “Station”). The Promotion begins on December 30, 2013 and ends on May 30, 2014 (the “Promotion Dates”).

b. To enter the promotion, entrant may enter online beginning on December 30, 2013 at 12:01am Eastern Time (“ET”) and ending on May 25, 2014 at 11:59pm ET ( “Entry Period”) as follows:

i. To enter online, visit http://www.Todays1019.com and follow the links and instructions to enter the Promotion and complete and submit the online entry form during the Entry Period. Entries must be completed and submitted by a coach, athletic association, Parent-Teacher Association, or other school/athletic affiliated individual or organization (“Entrants.”) Each entry must include an essay of up to a fifty (50) words nominating a student athlete (the “Nominee”) currently enrolled in high school in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania or Virginia for athlete of the week (the “Essay Submission”). Online entrants are subject to all notices posted online including but not limited to the Station’s Privacy Policy. Limit one (1) entry per eligible person per Entry Period regardless if entrant has more than one email address. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address. P.O. Boxes are not permitted. Entries submitted may not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the Promotion administrator.

ii. Essay Submissions must be the original creative work of the entrant and must not contain any copyrighted materials or any other materials which may be restricted, prohibited, or outlawed by federal, state, or local laws. Any Essay Submission found to contain copyrighted materials will be disqualified. All Essay Submissions and their content become the property of the Station and will not be returned. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify, destroy, and/or report any Essay Submission if such entry contains illegal, indecent, pornographic, sexually explicit content, or otherwise offensive material such as aberrational behavior, graphic violence or drug abuse, or if such Essay Submission contains material whose content is deemed at the sole discretion of the Station to be unsuitable for public viewing/reading or posting via the Internet. The Essay Submission may not defame or invade publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or proprietary rights including but not limited to copyrights or trademarks. The Station and CBS Radio reserve the right to edit the Essay Submission. Essay Submissions that do not comply with these rules will not be considered and will be disqualified from the Promotion. Any Essay Submission that exceeds 50 words will be truncated by the Station to include only the first 50 words. By entering the contest and submitting an Essay Submission, entrants consent to the use of their Essay Submission for all purposes of this Promotion in accordance with the Privacy Policy and terms and use of the website.

c. There will up to a total of 21 winners selected in the Promotion.

d. In any given week during the contest period, if Monday is a legal holiday, that week’s winner will be selected on Tuesday.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. Entrant must be a legal U.S. residents 18 years of age or older and who resides in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania or Virginia. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, officers, directors and agents of OneMain Financial, the Station, CBS Radio Inc., their corporate affiliates, Station’s advertising and promotional agencies, participating sponsors, prize suppliers, their respective affiliates (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”) and other radio stations in the Baltimore metropolitan area, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings or children) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. By participating, entrant agrees to comply with these Official Rules and the decisions of the Station, which are final and binding in all respects. By participating, entrant agrees that he/she has obtained the consent of the nominee (and if nominee is under the age of majority, his/her parent or legal guardian) to nominate nominee, including without limitation the consent to submit nominee’s photo, name, and school to Station for purposes of this Promotion.
Nominee must be currently enrolled in high school in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania or Virginia and must meet all eligibility criteria applicable to entrant; provided however that Nominee may be under the age of 18.

b. Listeners are eligible to win prize(s) valued over $50 or ticket prize(s) valued over $100 (per ticket) in a Station-conducted Promotion only once every sixty (60) days and prize(s) valued at $600 or more only once every six (6) months. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station-conducted promotion. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Nominee can win only once per school year.

c. The winner(s) may be required to present valid government-issued photo identification and must provide winner’s complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize(s). If a winner has not reached the age of majority in his/her state of residence, the prize(s) must be claimed by his/her parent or legal guardian.

d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entrant who does not meet the eligibility requirements and will also delete any entry as required by law.

3. PRIZES

a. There will be up to a total of 21 prizes; each prize is one (1) trophy. The Approximate Retail Value of each prize is $50.00. The winner(s) will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the prize(s). The prize(s) is awarded as is. Each week, the winner’s name will also be announced on air between approximately 7:00 am and 9:00 am ET on a Friday following winner selection.

b. No more than the stated number of prizes specified in these official rules will be awarded. All prizes or prize certificates must be claimed at the office of the Station at the address below during regular business hours. The winner(s) will forfeit any prize(s) or prize certificate(s) not claimed within twenty (20) days of winning. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed or shipped to the winner(s), it will be with the prior written consent of the winner(s) and therefore, winner(s) assumes the risk of its loss. The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize(s) or prize certificate(s).

c. Prize(s) is not transferable, and no substitution, assignment or cash equivalent of prize(s) is permitted, except by the Station (solely at its discretion), which reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize portion with another prize or prize portion of greater or equal value. The prize(s) are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Promotion Entities are not responsible for winners’ limitations that prevent acceptance or use of prize(s). Entrants acknowledge that the Promotion Entities have not made, and are not in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranties, representations or guarantees, and hereby disclaim any and all warranties, expressed or implied, whether by contract or law, concerning any prize, including without limitation, implied warranties of quality, merchantability, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Other restrictions may apply.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final.

b. One (1) winner will be selected each Monday at approximately 9:00AM ET during the Promotion from all entries received by the previous Sunday at 11:59pm ET, with the last winner selected on May 27, 2014 (due to legal holiday on Monday, May 26, 2014). Winner will be selected by a three (3) member Station judging panel on the basis of the Nominee’s exemplary skill and performance while participating in a school sponsored athletic event as well as sportsmanship on and off the field, as set forth in the Essay Submission. Entries are cumulative; any entry not selected to win from entries during any given week will remain eligible for/will roll over into subsequent weeks, if any. In any given week during the contest period, if Monday is a legal holiday, that week’s winner will be selected on Tuesday.

c. Entrants need not listen to the Station or be present to win.

d. Both the entrant and the Nominee will be notified by phone and/or email within three business days of being selected as the winner. The winner(s) must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within twenty (20) days of winning or prize(s) will be forfeited and no alternate winner will be selected. If a winner has not reached the age of majority in his/her state of residence, the prize(s) will be awarded in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian. If a potential winner(s) cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required fully-executed affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize(s).

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner(s). The winner(s) may be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize(s) and will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize(s) valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station’s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize(s). Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS.

b. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize(s) constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) permission for the Station, OneMain Financial, or their designees to interview the winner(s) (or guest(s), if applicable), to photograph, film and record each winner (or guest, if applicable), and to use in commerce and in any media, now or hereafter known, throughout the world, in perpetuity, his/her name, prize(s) won, hometown (city and state), biographic information, likeness, photograph, voice, audio or video recording and/or any statements made by him/her regarding the Station, the Promotion and/or its sponsor(s) for purposes of trade, publicity or promotion without notice or additional compensation, notification or permission, in perpetuity, except where prohibited by law. Each winner (and guest, if applicable) agrees to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize, except where prohibited by law.

c. Participation in the Promotion and/or acceptance of prize(s) constitutes entrant’s and/or winner’s (and guest’s, if applicable) agreement to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Promotion Entities and their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from any prize(s) awarded and participation in the Promotion, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property, which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in the Promotion, or delivery, possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of any prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity, including, but not limited to, any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery.

d. If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Released Parties that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend and/or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion to, to modify the procedure for selecting winner(s), unless the nature of the event giving rise to such termination renders it impossible to select winner(s).

e. The Released Parties are not responsible for (i) typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize(s); (ii) incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error, failure or omission; (iii) unauthorized human intervention; (iv) lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete or late entries; (v) entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties, telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, poor signals or signal interference, accidental disconnection or equipment malfunctions or any other technological problems or failures of any kind; or (vi) any cancellations, delays, diversions, substitutions or omissions whatsoever by any transportation providers or any other persons or entities providing any services to winner(s) (and guest(s), if applicable) including any results thereof such as changes in services or location necessitated by same. Further, the Released Parties are not responsible if any part of a Promotion prize cannot be awarded due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather, acts of terrorism or other factors beyond the Released Parties’ control.

f. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins or any other methods may void that entrant’s entries and that entrant may be disqualified. The use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Any use of robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents (including, but not limited to, promotion entry services or proxies) will void all entries by that entrant at the Station’s discretion. The Station’s or its Promotion administrator’s computer or telephone system is the official time keeping device for this Promotion. In the event of a dispute, online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder. The “Authorized Account Holder” is the natural person who (i) is assigned to an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address or (ii) is assigned to the text or mobile telephone number by a telecommunications provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning such numbers. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person who it believes is tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion. Failure to comply with the rules of the Promotion may result in an entrant’s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes. If the Station makes a good faith determination that an entrant has cheated or committed fraudulent activity in connection with a Promotion, the Station may disqualify that entrant from entering and/or winning this and any or all future Station-administered Promotions and seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

g. The Station reserves the right to make changes to the rules of the Promotion, including, without limitation, the substitution of a prize(s) of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Promotion Entities, any competition or prize-related event or travel is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel, terminate, suspend or modify the Promotion and shall not be required to award a substitute prize(s).

h. Except where prohibited, by entering the Promotion, each entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion or any prize(s) awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by state or federal courts situated in New York, NY; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event shall such costs include attorneys’ fees; and (3) no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages, including, without limitation, lost profits may be awarded (collectively, “Special Damages”), and (4) entrant hereby waives all rights to claim Special Damages and all rights to have any damages awarded multiplied or increased. New York law governs the interpretation and construction of these Official Rules and all aspects related thereto.

i. For a copy of these Official Rules, send a self-addressed stamped envelope (VT residents may omit return postage) for receipt by May 30, 2014 to WLIF Athlete of the Week– Official Rules,” Attn: Promotions, WLIF, 1423 Clarkview Road, Suite 100, Baltimore, MD 21209. For the names of the prize winner(s) send a self-addressed stamped envelope (VT residents may omit return postage) for receipt by July 30, 2014 to the above address marked Athlete of the Week– Winner List.” The Official Rules and the Winner List (when completed) shall also be available during regular business hours at the main offices of the Station and may be posted online at http://www.Todays1019.com.

6. PRIVACY

a. By participating in the Promotion, entrant agrees to the Station’s Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of entrant’s personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at http://www.Todays1019.com. In the event of conflict between the Station’s Terms of Use Agreement and these Official Rules, the terms of these Official Rules shall apply.
