Thomas Jefferson, our third President, has an amazing connection for this Independence holiday. Find out what it is and discover what happens on July 4th at his home every year!

History tells us Mr. Jefferson authored the Declaration Of Independence. But did you know he also died on July 4, 1826.

Every Independence Day since 1963, at Jefferson’s Monticello, there is an Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony on the West Lawn.

According to the website,”one of America‚Äôs most moving July 4 events and the largest naturalization ceremony held outside of a courtroom.”
