While 9% of Americans in a new poll said they use ride-sharing apps as their primary way to get around… it seems millennials in particular do have their eyes on motor vehicles… just not ones that move, necessarily.
Sales of recreational vehicles are expected to hit 446,000, up 3.6 percent over last year’s already record numbers. Trailers in particular made up 87 percent of the units that were sold and millennials are named as the likely buyers since many don’t need that extra room for a nursery just yet.
With young people looking to lower gas prices and better interest rates to save a little cash on their vacations.
Sherman Goldenberg, publisher of RV Business, tells USA TODAY: “The wave of new buyers … want to recreate without investing heavily.”
