Study: Involved Fathers Lead To Smarter Kids

Mothers play a critical role in raising children, but Dad’s have a role to play as well! It turns out that a father’s involvement in the lives of their kids actually impacts a child’s intelligence.

The Imperial College of London conducted a study of 128 fathers and their interactions with their 3 month old infants without the aid of toys.

Researchers monitored how the fathers interacted with their babies and then measured cognitive ability when those same children were 2 years old.

According to Professor Ramchandani who led the study, these father-child interactions can positively predict cognitive development almost two years later.

Not only will your kid thank you later, but mom will probably thank you right now.
