Snow, Sledding and Some Quality Time
I think I am in mourning over the imminent end of the snowy weather. I know, I know…you probably think I am crazy but I LOVE the snow.
When we have a snow “crisis,” there is such a sense of community. Everyone is out and about shoveling their walks, cleaning off their cars, walking in the snow and inevitably just hanging out with each other. Also, after the kids go sledding, it seems as though they all wind together at someone’s house (in my case, it’s usually mine, which makes me very happy). Then it seems as though impromptu dinner parties happen, with everyone pitching in and bringing a dish or pooling money to order pizza. And then after dinner, the board games come out and we might even have be persuaded to host a little karaoke party.
I am telling you…I LOVE the community feeling that comes along with snow storms. But alas, it is almost Spring and my snow fun will be over for another year.
Unless…a MARCH snow storm perhaps?!
