Safety Warning for Baltimore County Parents

To my fellow parents,

I’d like to get the word out about a disturbing issue. A teenage daughter of a friend of mine was approached by a man in his 30’s or 40’s on Eastridge Rd. at Timonium Road. He asked for the time and then asked if he could borrow her phone because his car had broken down; however, his car was nowhere in sight. She ignored him.

A few minutes later, she turned around to see where he was and he was getting into a blue car. When my friend reported this to the police, they said they had already received a call about the suspicious man. Soon after her daughter was talking to twin girls (about her age) and they said that the man had approached them as well. This time he asked if they knew of a swim club nearby, then persisted to ask to borrow their phone so he could call his dad. They too ignored him.

Please parents, warn your children about this man and this kind of situation. He has been described as a tall white man in his late 30’s early 40’s with a beard. In order to keep everyone a little bit safer please spread the word.

Thank you,

Mary Anne
