It’s time for Christmas cookies! When I think of Christmas cookies, memories flood my mind. It was always a family affair at my house when I was growing up. Even my Dad got in on the act. We made dozens and dozens of cookies. Everything from peanut butter balls coated in powdered sugar (my personal favorite) to Italian cookies (an old family recipe) and everything in between. We would then store them in big old Utz potato chip cans in the hall closet. Yes, I loved eating the cookies but it is the experience I treasure.

I love Christmas traditions. A tradition we have in our family is that we wear red union suits on Christmas morning when we open gifts. And leading up to Christmas, we have a really cool Advent calendar; it’s shaped like a house and has little doors. Each morning, Jack opens a door to find treats. Sometimes it’s a toy, sometimes it’s candy or gum. This year, it was December 2nd when we realized we hadn’t set it up yet. Even though it was in the attic, Santa had found it anyway and there was something in the first door. Good Ol’ Santa Claus!!
