From Bon Jovi to Ryan Adams to Aaron Neville to Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson has collaborated with everyone. So his newest duet with Harry Connick Jr. isn’t really a surprise. Instead it’s just another sing-along to add to his ever growing list.
On “When I’m Home,” a track off the soundtrack to Angels Sing, the country legend joins forces with the soulful crooner for the gospel-leaning holiday track. On the piano fused ballad they sing, “When I’m home, I will sing ‘Silent Night’/ This Christmas when I’m home.”
Both Nelson and Connick Jr. also appear in the film, which is out now in select theaters. Connick Jr. plays the role of Michael Walker, a disillusioned history professor while Nelson plays Nick, the man who restores his faith in Christmas. The film also stars Kris Kristofferson, Connie Britton and Lyle Lovett.
