Today’s daily dilemma (an advice segment we do every day at 7:40am) got me thinking about my childhood and walking home from school when I was young. The daily dilemma was from a woman whose five-year-old son was shoplifting candy from the bulk bins at the grocery store.
I used to walk home from St Pius X elementary school with a bunch of neighborhood children. We would pass through McCrory’s on York Road on our way home. One day, one of my friends stole some candy from the store and was handing it out to the rest of us as we walked home. I refused to take a piece because it was stolen. Everyone else made fun of me for it and accused me of being a “goodie-two-shoes.” Today, I am proud of that little girl (me) for standing up for what I believe in.
I like to leave good karma in my wake. How about you?
