Mary Anne Perry’s Ghostly Encounters
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the crisp Fall weather and dressing up! I also love to hear ghost stories and believe it or not, I have a few of my own. My family and I live in an old Victorian home and we have had some ghostly encounters. It all started when my son was about a toddler and would see “little boys” looking in the windows of our house. Freaky!! And no, it wasn’t an imaginary friend…you could tell when they would catch his eye.
Before my son was born, my husband and I would smell the fragrance of dinner cooking in the middle of the night. Most of our friends know and love our ghosts stories, so when one friend brought her stepson to our house, as they were walking in he said in a whisper, “If I smell as much as chicken soup cooking, I’m outta here!”
I do believe that whoever is in our house is friendly. In the words of the Lion from “The Wizard of Oz,” I do believe, I do believe, I do believe in ghosts!”
