Here’s the story how we met. It was the day after the Enshrinement..JO in the Hall. We decided to tour the Pro Football Hall Of Fame museum on Sunday, before the Hall Of Fame Game. Now granted, every person I saw in a Raven’s jersey or with Raven’s shirts on, I would say something to. I was so excited Baltimore was being honored in front of the football community. A lady stood by herself in the museum, wearing a #75 jersey. She, like us, checking out the various exhibits. I said something like, “Yeah Ravens rule here in Canton.” She smiled and at that moment, I realized it was Jonathan’s mom! I saw her so many times the day before. She was kind to share her thoughts with me. It was very surreal for her. I mean, her baby, the boy she had known all of his life, is enshrined, forever! She posed for a picture with me. I told herwhat JO said when we posed for our “picture” together…he told me it wasn’t the first ballot vote that made him so overjoyed. But it was the fact he was the first Raven and that it was for Baltimore.
She really beamed. I got to pose with the “son” and his “mom” during the HOF induction weekend. I will never forget this weekend.
