Maybe you’ve stayed at this hotel in OC. The Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible is in Ocean City, helping an 89-year-old Boardwalk hotel become more competitive.

The Lankford Hotel has fallen on hard economic times. This mom and pop property was built in 1924. They can’t compete with the chain franchises and they really do not want to. The Lankford Hotel doesn’t have a swimming pool or even an elevator.

You would recognize this place from the beach, the Langford has three-story columns on its porch. It sits between Eighth and Ninth streets on the Boardwalk.

The Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible show has a working budget of $10,000. The crew will be in Ocean City for four days at The Langford making improvements. The third-floor, two-bedroom suite at the Lankford is top secret. The owners will get a peak on the final day.

Watch for the Travel Channel’s production and camera crew this weekend in Ocean City.
