Katharine McPhee Enlists Ryan Tedder & Other High Profile Songwriters For New Album

Katharine McPhee is heading back into the studio to record and she’s teaming up with a few high profile songwriters.

For her latest studio album—the first since 2010’s Unbroken–McPhee is working with Salaam Remi, who’s worked with Fergie and Amy Winehouse; Sia, who wrote Rihanna’s “Diamonds” and Beyoncé’s new H&M approved song, “Standing On The Sun,” and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, who worked on Adele‘s 21.

McPhee is also writing with Pink scribe Linda Perry, which is a little nerve-wracking for the American Idol-alum.

This latest album will be McPhee’s first for Columbia Records, home to Beyoncé, John Legend, Daft Punk and One Direction, just to name a few.

The Smash star’s as-yet-untitled new album is due out later this year.
