The Counting Crows just finished up a summer tour, but they’re already heading back out on the road.
The band’s fall tour kicks off in Port Chester, NY on October 23, making stops along the way in Florida, Texas and California.
With a little help from bands Mean Creek and Tender Mercies, the Crows plan to play a little bit from each of their six studio albums, included their latest release, Underwater Sunshine.
While their summer tour had the band showcasing their favorite young indie musicians, this time around they’re going back to the basics. Though frontman, Adam Duritz admits their summer gig did reignite something in them.
“This summer on ‘The Outlaw Roadshow,’ was the best time I’ve ever had on tour. When you watch great bands play killer sets every night it makes you want to go out and play even better sets yourself,” he said in a statement. “It’s not competition, it’s just…rock & roll is a drug and watching great bands gets you high. The fans reap the benefits of that every night. Going out this fall with Mean Creek and Tender Mercies is going to be a hell of a ride. Plus, we promised the people in the South and the West that we were coming back this year. Well…here we come.”
