A piece of Baltimore history may be history if the city has its way. This one could upset many families in the area.
So, Baltimore’s carousel has been in place next to Rash Field for about 106 years. If the city has its way, it will be gone by March. Granted attendance over the years has fallen from 100,000 to 10,000 per year. But, the carousel has been a fixture…a Baltimore staple. Heck, your great grandparents might have ridden on this landmark.
The city does a pretty good job of preserving our past. It would be nice if they let some one give the old carousel a make over and keep it spinning for 106 more years.
