i would like to honor my grandfather, James L. He passed away March 8, 2011, shortly after his 70th birthday. He went into the hospital for low bloodsugar and never made it home. He was a great father to my mother and was like a father to me. He will be greatly missed. nothing is the same without him here.

vI’m thankful for my family and friends especially that my Mother, a two~time cancer survivor, is cancer free. Missing my Father who passed away in May from cancer, and a very close friend who was lost a few weeks after my Father. Wishing everyone a joyous Christmas.

This is a hard time of year for me. I lost my mom on December 3rd, 2010 and I still miss her. She had Alzheimers and didn’t really remember me a lot of times but I still treasured our time together. She was in her own world and made up a lot of things but it seemed to make her happy and most of the time the stories were quite comical and cute. She got to the point that Kentucky fried chicken was her favorite thing for the holidays. She didn’t want turkey or stuffing. Every Thanksgiving I would bring her KFC and we would enjoy it together. Then she got to the point where she couldn’t really eat anything anymore without choking so our KFC moments came to a close. She was a wonderful woman and I loved her very much. She made me smile everyday of my life. Christmas is just not the same without her. Merry Christmas Mom! I can’t pass a KFC without thinking about you.

I am thankful this year because of a very special Neice who gave up a kidney that my wife may live. My wife Linda truely received the gift of life. This tops any Christmas gift that I have ever received. My neice really knows and understands the meaning of giving.
