Barry Manilow Announces First Album In A Decade

After a 10-year hiatus from songwriting, Barry Manilow promises a brand new pop-art concept album inspired by the prominent Andy Warhol quote, “Everybody will be world-famous for fifteen minutes.”  Barry’s even selling the new song from record 15 Minutes for $.99 on his webpage.

“Bring On Tomorrow” is the newest pop-rock single from Manilow’s announced project 15 Minutes.  ”I’ve watched perfectly decent and talented people achieve the success they’ve been striving for only to crash and burn as their star rises,” the 67-year-old Las Vegas headliner explains.  ”It’s something that continues to fascinate us, and for me it represented an interesting musical journey to explore.”

15minutes Barry Manilow Announces First Album In A DecadeManilow also has an exciting new BBC Radio 2 program They Write The Songs about great composers, “like Gershwin, and Irving Berlin, and Harold Arlen, and Frank Loesser, and the list goes on.”  His ten-part, hour-long show airs every Tuesday and will be available on the BBC iPlayer here.  Each week, the legendary singer/songwriter will tell the stories of great composers and play their songs.  The first show here features the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
