Talk about resiliency; [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] has bounced back from national embarrassment after flubbing the lines to the National Anthem at the Super Bowl with grace and poise about the whole situation.
The singer and judge on the new singing competition The Voice opened up on Ellen about being the talk of the nation after the mishap and having a good laugh about the experience.

In her interview with Ellen airing later today, Christina opens up about singing the wrong lyrics to the National Anthem during the 2010 Super Bowl, but it wasn’t like she didn’t know the correct lyrics. She remembers singing the patriotic tune since she was 7, but this time she just got too caught up in the moment.
“Shoot me for appreciating the moment but here I am at the Super Bowl…singing for a team and in front of the world. And remembering what it was like to be that young and look where I made it now,” she told Ellen.
She continues, “That night I knew, I just made myself a Trivial Pursuit question…In 2011 what female singer, ya know, flubbed the lyrics. It’s just insane. But I have a really good laugh about it and you get over things. You get back up again and you just prove to yourself and to everyone you that much stronger.”[photogallerylink id=18171 align=left]
Ellen covers more in the interview with Christina from her new boyfriend, Matt Rutler, to the premiere of her new show The Voice airing on NBC tonight.
