Have you felt out of breath lately? Enraged? Confused? Ecstatically happy, but totally unstable? Not only is Mercury still retrograde (it feels like it’s always retrograde) but this week transformational Pluto is retrograde in Capricorn, creating mass revolution in governments and sometimes even in the workplace. Basically, wherever there is a leader in place. It’s a good time to keep a cool head, especially with Mars poking aggressively at Pluto from an entirely uncomfortable angle.
Sometimes it’s good to stand up for yourself, but this week, it might not be the best of ideas unless you are fully prepared to deal with the consequences of fondling the sleeping Pluto bear.
Unlike the Mercury retrograde, Pluto retrograde lasts until about September 16. It’s time to break down the facades and really attempt to restructure the miniature governments around you. Just wait until next week, when you have a full scope of what is going on and there isn’t a lot of Aries/Mars tension to actually attempt a peaceful resolution. You might just add more fuel to the fire.
Go forth and read the details on your sun sign! If you know your rising sign, read that too.
Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19)
Try not to burn out this week, Aries. With all the signs in your sign, Mercury in retrograde, Pluto pushing at old battle wounds, it’s basically going to be like an absurd scene in Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks. Everything is going topsy-turvy and your ruling planet (Mars) is making you want to shoot the big guns.
Sometimes ambitious Aries can really irritate the more lackadaisical around them who aren’t used to the stress of motivation. Everyone else is feeling what you feel all the time; step back and let them adjust. Try not to be too vocal about your feelings, push too hard, or piss anyone of importance off.
Remember that to play the game to win, you actually have to play the game. You can’t just burn the board and magically get to the finish line with your piece intact.
While not being totally proactive in your career might sound like an Aries burn, the full moon in Libra on Sunday will provide the perfect opportunity for a beautiful friendship to reach the full bloom of romance. Just don’t blow it by trying to be too much a control freak.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20)
Whatever you think is true might prove to be false this week or just a product of your contrite, stubborn Taurus imagination. You might be surprised by a spontaneous spiritual awakening. If things seem too good to be true (or too weirdly compatible), they’re not. You created this path with your karma. Look at all the signs around you and suck up your questioning mind: There are freaky things going on that you need to start paying attention to as soon as possible. These things remind you that there is more to life than just yourself. Yes, Taurus, it’s true: It’s not all about you.
Pluto retrograde is gliding through your travel sector, especially on international trips, so find you passport, download a language app on your smart phone, or start connecting with people in other countries.
All this travel might have something to do with a new job (or a current job that might take a new turn.) The full moon this Sunday hints at bigger and better things career wise for you, as long as you’ve been taking care of yourself and getting all your work done. You’ve vacillated between lazy and motivated, so it’s anyone’s guess which path you decided to take these last couple of months.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Gemini’s are not usually ones to quibble over money or to have any kind of attachment to finances, but this week you might be met head on with a test from someone in your intimate sphere. Your husband might lose his job or need you to shell over cash for something when usually he’s been the caretaker. Keep your current philosophies about money, Gemini, but also start to pay attention to the little things. They will start to add up and someone might need your help.
For Gemini, Pluto in retrograde can bring out people from your past, that might contribute alternate sources of income. It’s time to start growing up a little, Gemini. We hate to say it, but you can’t spend all your money on champagne and high-tech gadgets.
And the full moon this weekend won’t be the lovey-dovey full moon for you that it has been for everyone else–unless that’s the path your relationship has been working towards. If not, you might find that some old issues pop up that feisty Pluto really wants to solve. Luckily, it’s a Libra full moon and an differences should be worked out harmoniously.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
The mothering sign with the hard-as-steel shell, Cancer’s are usually pretty good at understanding who they love and who they don’t love. Pluto is traveling backwards in your partnership house until September 16 and it can be especially hard for you, because you will want to push some people away that you really love and vice versa.
It’s time to look around you and decide who should stay and who should go. This can be beautiful thing if you don’t do it in a cruel, combative way. If you are feeling something, the other person probably feels it too and it won’t come to as much of a shock as you think.
If you’ve felt like moving house, moving out of state, moving jobs, or just completely renovating your life, this is the time to do it. You might recognize this fully on Sundays Full Moon in Libra.
Leo (July 23-Aug 22)
You can’t do everything, Leo, even though I know you think you can. Well, let’s be honest. Most of the time you actually can. But there is too much going on this week with Mercury Retrograde and Pluto Retrograde through your efficiency zone. Don’t say yes to that extra job. Don’t even think about it.
Right now, it’s time to focus on what you are good at and only a few things at once. It’s OK to say no to people, relax on the couch and watch Law and Order. In fact, you deserve that right now, Leo. You should learn the theory of working smarter, not harder. Most successful people are just good at strategizing other people into doing all their work while they chill on their yachts.
There is one exception though. If you’ve felt like doing something creative, you should go for that, especially if it’s not career related. It will suit your action-oriented personality while providing you with a relaxing outlet for your surplus energy.
Sunday’s full moon will focus on your love life in ways that you never expected. You could flirt with the creative partner of your dreams. If that doesn’t make sense, sometimes falling “in love” doesn’t have to be sexual or romantic. You could just meet the person that speaks to your soul.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22)
The average Virgo is pure, simple, organize, gracious, and far from dark. But with mysterious Pluto slithering into your house of creativity , you will start to learn how to embrace your dark side.
It’s true. It might be a little painful, but you have come to a point in your life where you have developed creative tools on how to learn from these experiences and move on. If you have a creative idea based on your emotional life, don’t be afraid of it, Virgo. For you, real healing will come through expressive courage.
If you’ve been strapped for cash, Sunday’s full moon will have you thinking about a job change or have you offered a job that you’ve been working hard to get for months.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22)
If you’ve been feeling insecure lately and seeing old childhood crutches coming out, they will be way more evident this week. Lovely Libra is a fan of money, but not really a fan of working hard. If you’ve had people supporting you, all that might come to a head right now.
You might have to learn how to do your own thing for once and it won’t be as exciting as getting a mani-pedi or taking a cardio barre class before getting happy hour drinks with your friends. It will be hard work.
Right now, you are feeling immense amounts of doubt about your capabilities to pull off all your dreams. Fret not, Libra. Times of high anxiety like this bring out your true character and that will serve you in the coming days. People will start respecting you more
This all sounds so dire and emotional, but after the full moon on Sunday, you will be recognized for your successful personal transformation.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21)
Get ready to go through a nice, steady lull, Scorpio. Ruler Pluto will be meandering through your communication zone, which is probably a good thing, since you’ve been looking for respite from information overload.
Right now, it’s time to focus on the good friends you have around you, your relationships, and cultivating deeper relationships with new friends. The best way to do this is to cut down on the snark and become a beacon of peace for the friends around you who are going through a chaotic time. You are used to these deep, dark mysterious Pluto shenanigans. Everyone else is not.
Sunday’s full moon is in your house of completions and that helps you close the door on a past toxic relationship or on a life philosophy that really isn’t serving you. You might have a tearfest at the Full Moon this weekend and that’s OK. You haven’t fully mourned something and this weekend will be the perfect time to do that.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
You can lo0k up at the sky all you want Sagittarius, but it’s time to start building up a solid foundation. Make a list of all the things you need to do, talk to people that have done what you’ve done, read books, get a planner. Make it work through organization.
Listen, Sag. You don’t know everything like you think you do. If you’ve come to a stand still in your career, that’s because you haven’t had the patience or the open-mind to listen to someone else’s opinion on what your next step should be. Dispel that attitude and stop being so self-serving. You can find precious, rare, beneficial knowledge when you open yourself to other people’s lives.
For you, the full moon this Sunday is all about groups and collaborations. Something will pay off, or alternately, something won’t. It all just depends on whether you picked the right creative partner to meet your ever-soaring standards.
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19)
Do you feel disconnected from the world, Capricorn? Or from your core personality? Maybe not all the time, but we bet there are some days where you feel really down on yourself because you don’t “like” a certain version of yourself. With Pluto in your house of self-observation and change, you will take everything you learned in the past, the feelings of the present, and make a better future version of yourself.
For weeks, I’ve told you that your focus should be on family and that’s still going on. A lot of things have happened with them and you’ve tried your hardest to make them feel OK about your life, but there has been some judging. Get over it and realize that they are just projecting their own inadequacies on you.
Also, you can look forward to a career boost with Sunday’s full moon in your sector of success. Maybe that will shut them up.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
There is an introverted aspect to Pluto’s transition through your house of spirituality, Aquarius, and you might feel a little stifled from the ascetic life. You might feel like you’ve done all you can to be a spiritual person, but you may be met with self-doubts and voices in your head that say you haven’t learned everything you can.
Here’s the key: You can fill your head with knowledge, but the best way to appreciate the beauty of life is to simplify. Meditate on nothingness. Not an idea, concept, mantra, or with a special bell. Just be still.
All of this priming, will make you transcend your judgments and meet your dark side head on. Aquarius is not usually afraid of anything–except being tied down or feeling like they might be depressed. Listen, just be. If you’re sad, you’re sad. It’s OK. You are allowed to feel and it’s not going to trap you. In fact, it might increase your feeling of freedom.
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)
Pisces, you aren’t a follower. But you aren’t a leader either. You are a creative, compassionate individual and you should treat yourself as such. You aren’t the type that needs to keep up with trends or have a gang of people around you. Don’t force yourself into fitting into anyone else’s mold.
While you can lern a lot from other people by listening to their stories, you can probably learn more from yourself. Just apply their success strategies to what you already know and you should be good as gold.
If you’ve been looking for a little fever-pitched romance lately, you will feel that with the full moon on Sunday. No one will be as seductive and impossibly charming as you. If you are in a relationship, tie yourself to your bed and let your partner have it all. It will be hard to exercise self-control when the universe wants you that much.
