Dear star-crossed lovers, allow me to engage in some astrologer mumbo-jumbo for a second in order to explain why you may feel so emotionally restless these last few days: Aries is in six planets (soon maybe seven), Mercury is in retrograde, and for the first time since 1847, Neptune has moved into its ruling sign of Pisces.
What does Neptune do and why is its influence so important now? Neptune rules the dream word, the subconscious, the spiritual, mystical, and the kind of overwhelming psychic energy perfectly timed with all the “end-of-times” predictions.
I’m not saying the world is going to end anytime soon, but with Neptune in Pisces people’s ideas of what the world should be will change. Neptune expands our levels of consciousness making us look past out previous psychological crutches and our addiction to modern technology (a product of Neptune being in progress-loving Aquarius since 1998).
You might be having wild prophetic dreams, having psychic premonitions, or feeling abnormally pulled in by your instincts. Don’t ignore any of this. Write it down, figure it out what it means for your life path, and realize that nothing is “just because.” Don’t take universal connections for granted.
Go forth and read the details on your sun sign! If you know your rising sign, read that too.
Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19)
Time to let go of your vehement, usually impenetrable life commandments and grab hold of your wildest dreams. Aries likes to be in control, so having to delve into your subconscious might be a little difficult and a lot unsettling, but once you get the hang of it, you might be to able to create your dreams into reality with your typical Aries confidence.
Luckily, there is massive amounts of Aries energy going on this month as well, so you aren’t left on a shimmery Pisces cloud with no device to get you down.
Just remember that a lot of success in life is not just drive and ambition. It’s also because of a keen case of cosmic synchronicity. Meeting “the one,” dodging an accident, learning the right facts at the right time; if these things didn’t happen, you wouldn’t know when to put your most fiery foot forward.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20)
Taurus loves to daydream and with Neptune in Pisces (and in your house that rules the future), Taurus might spend more time daydreaming this week rather than actually doing something. Or frankly, anything.
Normally, I would instruct any other sign to keep dreaming their big dreams because it’s a welcome respite. But Taurus, you rely on the laws of The Secret way more than any other sign. You get drawn into illusion and these next four months you might get stuck in a rut called your imagination.
To offset that, try to keep logical, business-minded people around. They will not only keep you on track mentally, someone you respect will break through your stubbornness and bend you a little bit.
Remember to stay realistic and keep your feet on the ground. One of the best ways to do this is to give back. Helping out others in need not only increases your cosmic karma, but it also helps you realize that life is not just about your dreams or yourself. There are others out there with bigger problems. It puts things into perspective.
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Psychic Neptune hops on for a ride on your fast moving career train, Gemini. That can be a good way to make money from your creativity or natural abilities at human insight or it can be a curse if you try to rebel too much against those that are in a leadership position.
Remember that you can color brightly inside of the lines; you don’t always have to be different and unique and in some ways understanding that the most transformative way of being an individual is through introspective insight will get you farther in your external life.
All of this is most likely to come into play with a “fatherly” energy in your life, someone who may have grown bitterness towards for trying to rule your usual chaotic life patterns. Normally, you don’t care, but with Neptune in Pisces you are extra sensitive to what you perceive as injustices against your freedom.
Remember that you made the decision to be led by someone and forgive yourself and them for anything animosity that may have occurred in the interim.
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Get ready to travel off to somewhere that may change you spiritually and emotionally. You might not take that trip this week, Cancer, but you are certain to go on a spiritual journey in the next four months while Neptune awakens your inner wanderlust in your travel sector.
Your career is still blowing up and you are extra focused on it, but in order to not let yourself get too crabby, you need to imagine yourself on some lush, peaceful vacation that will stimulate your body and your soul. Remember to keep things in balance. You need to play, but most of all you need the healing effects of life-changing knowledge.
Your imagination will be working extra hard these next couple of months, so even if your job is extremely business oriented, make sure you take care of your incredibly creative spirit, Cancer.
Leo (July 23-Aug 22)
Don’t we all wish we were Leo for the next couple of months. With Neptune in Pisces in your eighth house of shared resources, Leo will be blessed with some cold hard cash and will have to fight every ounce of their demonstrative nature to take their friends, loved ones, and especially themselves on lavish spending sprees.
One thing to be extra conscientious of: Don’t take money from someone you are sexually involved with. The eight houses also rules eroticism, so you might get money in a less than wholesome way and your Leo tendency is to be blinded by the numbers rather than the motive.
Have fun with your new-found, transient lust, but make sure that you remind yourself that the things in life that count are made from hard work, patience and sometimes even solitude.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22)
Neptune is a very healing aspect and you’ve been through quite a few intense relationship issues lately. Thankfully for the next four months, you will finally have a chance to get over some of those desperate nights of co-dependency and passive-aggresive acts of martyrdom that Virgos can be good at when you are at your worst.
Stop living your life vicariously through your partner or living your life thinking about having a partner. You future is your own and you need to regain control over your individuality. Neptune gives you the ability to recognize this psychological pattern within yourself and the tools to help work through it.
Talk through your problems with a best friend, a psychologist, or even get inspired through the human narrative in love-focused fiction. Redefine what you think loves means. You might find yourself falling prey to a wonderful sense of passion rather than closing yourself off to real intimate love.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22)
Party girl Libra is going to go through a massive change with Neptune swirling through your house of compassion. Lately, you’ve stopped becoming so internally focused and judgmental and the best way to showcase this new-found positive personality is to donate your usual bar-hopping time to a charitable endeavor or to activities that are healthful both physically and spiritually–like yoga, hiking, or meditation.
Realize that some of your bad habits are just products of repressed emotional reactions. Those two nightly cocktails and the late night junk food run aren’t just because you are living life in the fast lane, they are acts of decadence to distract you from what every Libra really is inside–a pure, innocent, giving, harmony-seeking spirit.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21)
Life is but a dream for you, Scorpio. This is most evident in your relationships with mysterious Neptune in Pisces waving a dreamy, fairy tale wand over your relationship sector. Normally a sarcastic cynicist (Scorpios see all!), these days Scorpios will actually be open to the potential of magic. These next couple of months, try playing with your food i.e. love, which gives Scorpio sustenance more than any other thing in the world.
A slight warning though: Neptune and Pisces hanging out in Scorpio can be hard if you don’t keep things in perspective. Scorpio, you are already an intense, passionate person and Neptune in Pisces can make you extra emotional. Don’t waste your new-found fun romanticism over someone who’s heart is just not in it.
And don’t think that falling into a well of delusion is going to trick anyone, especially yourself. If you aren’t already in a relationship, this time around pick people who actually want to be with you the way you want them to be, even if they don’t fit your ideal-on-paper expectations.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
The total antithesis to who Sagittarius usually is, Neptune in your sector of home and family makes you wish that you could just laze around in the comfort of your own home with stability and the people you love around you.
Start to make changes that fit this urge. Walk to nearby restaurants instead of driving far away for exotic fare. Get involved in community government. Buy a house. Yes, this all sounds scary, but you can keep one foot in a stable world while your other foot still dangles over the precipice into adventure.
This will just be a taste of the thirteen year Neptune phase that will start next February, so it also a great time to figure out exactly where you would like to settle down permanently.
This is also a great time to reconnect with your mother if you don’t already have a great relationship. She was the orginator of your “stability” in this world and will be a very important part of your future. You can’t friend future happiness until you accept your mother’s past decisions for what they were. She may have been your mother, but she is also a human being with flaws–just like the rest of us.
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19)
Express yourself! Sometimes the stoic Capricorn can seem stodgy and boring to the superficial onlooker, but deep down you are super hilarious and creative. With poetic Neptune entering Pisces in your communication sector for four months, people will actually start to believe that you are not only imaginative, but that you actually have a strong funny bone.
This is the best time to take on creative hobbies like ballet dancing, singing, writing, clothing design, You will be less inclined to hold yourself to some impossible perfection and more likely to just embrace yourself as the imperfectly beautiful human being that you are.
Let yourself go wild creatively. Inspire a friend, sibling, or a new lover to join, especially if you’ve been feeling detached from the other creative people around you because your mind has been more focused on “boring” topics.
Most likely, the will join you, happy to see what has “come over” you.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
While Neptune is taking a tour of everyone else’s sign, it’s leaving yours, Aquarius. Neptune has left you with innovative ideas, spiritual conscientiousness, and quite a special assortment of intense emotions.
You will miss this aspect of yourself, but you will welcome the break from being in perpetual emotional, dreamy state. You can finally move forward from moments with clarity and detached peace, rather than feeling the need to dwell on everything.
Right now it the perfect time to move forward in money and career related aspects, because you can keep a clear head about things like money or new, innovative ideas. If you’ve ever wanted to be an entrepenaour, take the steps forward now, before Neptune goes back into your sign for another nine months.
This is the perfect time to outline out your “life plan.” There’s nothing to hold you back right now, most importantly not yourself.
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)
Girl, you got it going on and don’t let anyone, especially yourself, tell you any different. With Neptune in your sign for the first time since 1847 it’s time to become reacquainted with the beautiful, creative, psychically in-tune creature that you are. And to have self-confidence with these realizations rather than hiding your magic away from the world.
It’s easy for Pisces to become a hermit, but sometimes that only makes Pisces more self-conscious when they actually go out into the world. The truth is, years of solitude have made you more in touch with your core identity than any other sign, and now you need to go out and share your unique ideas with the world.
Normally, you’d lean on someone else to help you get out there: a therapist, a boyfriend, a pill, a drink. This time around go out fresh, clean, and unhindered. Your sweet soul needs a little freedom these coming months.
