A teensy weensy arrest for drunken debauchery can’t put a damper on [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm]’s week – because the girl has a new job.
Christina recently announced that she would be joining the judging panel of NBC‘s new Idol-esque show, The Voice. Aguilera, along with fellow hosts [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Cee Lo Green[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Adam Levine[/lastfm] of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Maroon 5[/lastfm], will not only judge the contestants, but they’ll serve as their vocal coaches.
I’m sure having Christina Aguilera run scales with you isn’t at all intimidating…
[photogallerylink id=18171 align=left] Christina released the following statement:
“I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it. To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.mI am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to ‘The Voice’.”
The Voice is based on the Dutch singing show, aptly named The Voice of Holland. Carson Daly will be the host of the American version of the show.
