The 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards show was filled with surprises… big surprises. One major one being the upset that occurred when superstar tween sensation [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Bieber[/lastfm] lost the award for Best New Artist to Esperanza Spalding. Wait, who?
That was the response felt by many… mostly the die hard “Beliebers”.
After jazz singer and newcomer [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Esperanza Spalding[/lastfm] took home the GRAMMY for Best New Artist, things hit the fan… or the internet I should say. Beliebers allegedly vandalized Spalding’s Wikipedia page with immature changes that only adolescent fans could come up with.
One fan wrote,“JUSTIN BIEBER DESERVED IT GO DIE IN A HOLE”. While another fan took the liberty of
changing her middle name to “Quesadilla”. Get it? Esperanza/”Quesadilla”.
While Beliebers continue to bash Spalding, the jazz bassist and singer has nothing but good things to say about their idol stating, “(Bieber) is unquestionably talented and will have so many more records for his fans to sink their teeth into. Besides, he has great hair.”
Let’s hope these vandals were enraged 14-year-old girls, as opposed to adult fans like our fearless Editor, Joey. I can totally see him doing something like this. SMH…
