More Big Changes For American Idol
American Idol Judges,[lastfm link_type=""] Jennifer Lopez[/lastfm],[lastfm link_type=""] Steven Tyler [/lastfm] and Randy Jackson have some big shoes to fill with Simon Cowell’s departure. Now, the evolution of Idol has taken another drastic turn!
Executive Producer Ken Warwick announced a change in the competition format. First, the semifinals will conclude with a sudden-death Top 20 round. Two groups of 10 contestants will compete for the final 12 spots. That one round will determine the finalists.
Second, there may not be an even amount of girls and boys. Ken also divulged
“If I’ve got six fantastic boys and four average girls, I’m certainly not going to throw out a fantastic boy to put in another average girl, or vise versa.”
