Baltimore’s first big railroad station was Camden. Designed by architects J. Rudoph Niernsee and J. Crawford Neilson, the station was inspired by contemporary terminals in London, and once was dominated by a 185 foot tower which was removed not long after the B&O Railroad completed the building. The tower was deemed structurally unsafe. Today Camden Station at Oriole Park houses the Sports Legends Museum.
